The Challenge
Messages, tasks, and promises can get lost across a busy inbox and multiple accounts.
An inbox assistant organizes messages, captures tasks and promises, and prepares editable replies. In development, with a person reviewing each draft.
Messages, tasks, and promises can get lost across a busy inbox and multiple accounts.
An inbox mixes several kinds of work in the same stream: messages to read, questions to answer, and commitments that need a later action. Moving between accounts adds another layer of review. This prototype gives those different items a common workspace while keeping the original conversation as the context for a response.
Message categories help separate the kinds of attention an inbox needs. Task and promise capture turns a request inside a thread into something that can be reviewed alongside other follow-ups. Recognizing already handled conversations helps distinguish unfinished work from messages that no longer need a reply.
Drafting is a separate step from sending. The assistant prepares wording that a person can edit and review, so the person remains responsible for the response. For a similar workflow, useful starting points are the categories your team uses, how it tracks commitments, and which messages need personal attention. The example is still in development.
The prototype brings message categories, tasks, promises, and reply drafts into one workspace. Replies remain editable for a person to review.
